Welcome to Victor, the design + quote app by Viewrail!

This app will allow you to quickly and easily draw the layout of your project, as well as choose from our variety of post styles, materials, and finishes.

First, by selecting from the options below, let us know whether you’re designing a metal or a wood system. You can then draw the layout of your project by creating a series of “runs.” A run is a line of cable that begins and ends with a post. As you draw runs, Victor will automatically place the appropriate types of posts, as needed, in the correct positions.

To create a run, simply move your cursor in the appropriate direction and click (or tap) to end the run in the location you desire. You can then specify the details of the run such as the angle, length, handrail height, and whether it is a level or elevated run.

When you’ve completed the layout of your project, select “Send Drawing” to submit your drawing to our team of engineers for review. Our team will then evaluate your project drawing and reach out to you as quickly as possible.

Thank you for using Victor by Viewrail. We truly hope you have an enjoyable design experience. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to our team at victor@stairsupplies.com; we will be happy to assist you in creating your vision and maximizing your view.

While we are continuing to enhance Victor, its features are currently optimized for metal systems. As you draw your wood system, please know the spacing between posts is calculated as if you were drawing a metal system: a post placed every four feet. However, with wood systems, posts are only necessary every eight feet and use intermediate posts to reduce / eliminate cable deflection. As a result, the Parts List will not be accurate.

Please draw the layout of your project and submit it to our team for review and assistance. You can also refer to our online resources for educational materials. Thank you.

Draw the layout of your project by creating a series of “runs.” A run is a line of cable that begins and ends with a post. As you draw runs, Victor will automatically place the appropriate types of posts as needed in order to comply with building code – no more than four feet apart.

To create a run, simply move your cursor in the appropriate direction and click (or tap) to end the run in the location you desire. Once placed, please specify the details of the run such as the angle, length, handrail height, and whether it is a level or elevated run. If elevated, please indicate whether the stairs will be ascending or descending from the point of your current run.

To generate a rough estimate of your project, select “Estimate” in the toolbar or “Show Me the Cost” in the Parts List. In order to make your estimate as accurate as possible, please indicate the desired post style, material, and finish. When viewing your estimate, you can adjust the post specifications and changes will be reflected accordingly. You can also download and print details of your project by selecting “Elevation Details PDF,” “Layout PDF,” and / or “Material List.”

Once you’ve completed your drawing, select “Send Drawing to Engineers for Review” or “Get Formal Quote” in the toolbar. Our team will then review your project drawing and reach out to you as quickly as possible.

If you’d like to return to your drawing in the future, select “Save” in the toolbar and the layout will be accessible whenever you’re logged into your account.
